Cherokee Vollin, 7, is greeted by Santa Claus upon his arrival by police escort with Mrs. Claus to the Colorado Springs Police Department Gold Hill Division during the Holiday on the Hill event in Colorado Springs on Dec. 19. Children met with Santa and Mrs. Claus and each child was given a gift. Toys for Tots provided the gifts for 400 children. CSPD, Shield616 and the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs joined forces to host the community event, which included s’mores, hot chocolate and the opportunity for officers to meet with families of the community they serve.
