The folks at United Country Timberline Realty were trying to find a way to give back to their community, said Sheri Davis, so they came up with doing a golf tournament.

“As a team we decided that TCRAS was such a great fit for us, since we’re all animal lovers and of course, you can see the TCRAS roof from our office,” Davis said.

Davis also assures volunteers that if you don’t want to swing a golf club, there are plenty of ways to help support T-cras, by supporting this event from gathering donations of auction items, to gathering sponsorships, to help the day of the event and days leading up to the event.

“We had individually worked at volunteer opportunities all over the county and beyond,” Davis said. “And we all love animals. TCRAS — you can see their roof from our offices — was a natural.”

GOLF FOR A CAUSE

That’s how the Timberline Realty, First Annual Tee-off for TCRAS Golf Tournament was born. Set to be held August 9 at Shining Mountain Golf Course in Woodland Park, there are so many ways to get involved. Whether that’s taking advantage of a sponsorship opportunity for local individuals or businesses to swinging by the Timberline office to drop off a donation, everyone who cares about the Teller County animal shelter’s mission has a way to be involved.

Davis also assures volunteers that even if you have no time, the team would love to help you participate in any way you wish to make the event a success.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

“We have so many openings for the day of the event and every day leading up to it. Keep in mind every penny goes directly to TCRAS,” Davis said. “Let us know what you can do and we will figure it out.”

The tournament needs both sponsors and players.

“If you love animals and/or golf and want to hang out with our team of Realtors in the fresh air of Woodland Park, now is your time to shine. Please help if you can,” Davis said.
