From the arms of his beloved wife Sue to the arms of the angels, Bob passed peacefully. Born to William and Betty Hinnen, Bob grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, receiving his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. A proud Vietnam veteran, he was stationed at Fort Dix and Fort Polk for advanced infantry training prior to Fort Benning where he undertook OCS instruction and deployment. Returning to the states in 1970, he went back to school, attending the University of Wisconsin • Lacrosse where he earned his masters degree in Student Personnel Services. With his charismatic personality and strong business acumen, his beloved Colorado became his oyster, affording him numerous opportunities in sales and marketing. With a passion for publishing, he started Homes Illustrated

Magazine, which served the entire Front Range with an upscale real estate publication from 1986 to 1996. Working in partnership with his wife Sue, Colorado Springs Style, a full-color lifestyle magazine likewise became a reality in 1996. Above all, Bob loved the outdoors and all that Colorado had to offer. He was a gifted hunter, fisherman and camping enthusiast, with elk, deer, ducks and geese always on the menu.

He also enjoyed a pool league and sponsored and played on a softball team for many years. Being the outgoing person that he was, Bob was happiest when surrounded by a cadre of friends and family. Constantly smiling, he took advantage of every moment, celebrating life and those around them to the fullest. Bob is survived by his wife Sue (Woodland Park, CO), brother James Hinnen (Madison, WI.), brother-in-law Ed Bornfleth (Summerville, SC), sistersin-law Barbara Cavallo (Pewaukee, WI) and Lori Troutman (Delafield, WI) plus additional nieces and nephews.

A columbarium ceremony with full military honors is scheduled for October 22 at 11 a.m. at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road. Celebration of life reception will be at a future date.
