IN 1921

Though Halloween comes next Monday night, Chief H. D. Harper of the police department has issued a warning already to parents that they will be held strictly responsible for any damage done by boys. “Boys won’t be permitted to commit any vandalism,” Chief Harper said yesterday, “Every bit of property defaced or damaged will have to be paid for by their parents.”

IN 1946

The Pikes Peak Ski Club has opened a new skiing area in the Upper Glen Cove basin, with a tow house which had to be carried up in pieces. The improvements include a new electric-powered 1,000-foot rope tow, as announced by Raymond (Tex) Roberts, club president. Ski runs and a ski jump will be serviced from the new tow.

IN 1971

The Colorado Education Association (CEA) announced that sanctions have been invoked on Colorado Springs School District 11. The resolution cites the complete refusal of the school board to cooperate with CEA to resolve a serious dispute which affects not only teachers but the entire educational program in Colorado Springs schools. The core of the problem involves the grievance procedure for teachers.
