Judy A. Wasoba, 67, passed away on her birthday after a courageous battle with a rare cancer. She was born August 3, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

While a young girl, her family lived on a farm outside of West Point, IA, eventually moving into the community. She graduated from West Point Marquette High School in 1973. She was involved in many school activities and was Homecoming Queen her senior year. Judy attended Stewart School of Cosmetology in

Davenport, IA and soon met her husband, Ken.they were married on October 18, 1975.

Judy’s family moved to several cities and states where Judy was a cosmetologist, banker and real estate agent, which is the career she loved most, enjoying a successful 34 years in the industry, most recently with Coldwell Banker in Colorado Springs. Judy loved Colorado Springs where she lived since 1985. She enjoyed attending to her many flowers and plants, walking, playing golf, traveling, relaxing at her outdoors fire pit and most of all, being with friends and family. She was beautiful inside and out and was very outgoing. She had a very welcoming personality, and her laughter was contagious. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Judy leaves behind her devoted husband of nearly 47 years, Ken, loving children Eli, Newtown CT.; Megan

Babbitt, Colorado Springs; grandchildren Micah, Marissa Trent, Drew and great grandchild, Jordan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Bertilla Becker along with brothers Larry and Bernard, Jr.

A memorial celebration will be held at Swan Law Funeral Home in Colorado Springs from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18 with a mass at Holy Apostles Catholic Church on Friday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Judy’s favorite colors are any shade of purple. She would be thrilled to know attendees displayed a piece at any of her memorial events.
