There will be a meeting of the Parent Teacher association at the Columbia school at 3 o’clock. Miss Isabel Pelton of Denver will address the association on “Child Nutrition,” using slides to illustrate her talk.

IN 1947

Colorado Springs veterans of World War II were able to purchase typewriters at the sale conducted by the War Assets administration at Camp Carson. Those listed were Joseph Uphoff, Clarence Rockwell, Doris Harris, Lee Lyon, Bruce Ballard, Carl Sabo, John Cairns, Ralph Mitchell, James Roush, Harold Wakefield, Sgt. Jess Kiser, Frank Vidmar, Ward Morrow and Raymond Forst

IN 1972

Labels to designate Christmas cards for local mailing or out-oftown delivery have been distributed to customers of the Colorado Springs Post Office to facilitate mail handling during the coming holiday season. If customers bundle and identify cards, it will save local postal personnel time sorting cards, speeding the greetings on their way in time for delivery by Christmas Day.
