Colorado Springs is rapidly establishing a reputation for being the fastest growing city in the west. The El Paso County Tuberculosis association began receiving replies almost immediately following Christmas Seals mailings sent November 24, according to Mrs. Charles Lennhoff, chairman of the auditing committee. The first week’s receipts totaled $3,748.40. For those shoppers who didn’t receive sheets of seals through the mail, self-serve boxes of seals have been placed at convenient locations throughout the city.

IN 1972

Local men’s department managers are displaying the styles in nylon, acrylic, spandex and tricot. The skimpy underwear is available in a rainbow of colors and myriad of patterns. With names like Skants, mono-kini, and Don Juan, who knows what will be under the Christmas tree?
