Willis “Willie” L. Roe, a lifelong resident of El Paso County, was born September 18, 1935, to Pearl and Dorothy Roe in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Willis passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Marge Roe, and their three children. They have two wonderful sons and one beautiful daughter. Son, Larry (Coral) of Lafayette Colorado, Daughter, Arlene (Steve) of Brighton Colorado and Jack (Judy) of Black Forest Colorado. 6 grandchildren. Lynda (Butch) Buccelli, Justin (Tanya) Jacobucci, Jason (Allanah) Roe, Craig (Melissa) Roe, Brandon (Ashley) Roe, and Makena (Stephen) Osborne. Also leaving behind 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Peral and Dorothy, brother Clyde, and sister Shirley.

Willie enjoyed golfing, rodeo’s and listening to older country music. Willie’s biggest pride and joy; is his wife Margie, the family they’ve created and being surrounded by them.

Willie graduated from Falcon High School in 1953 and worked for the city of Colorado Springs Utilities for 36 years and retired as a Supervisor of the water department.

After retirement he worked as a Starter at Patty Jewett Golf Course.

A note from Willie – To my family, “I had the best ride you could ask for. I love you all.” To Margie “My wife I love you!”

A Private Burial will be held at Eastonville Cemetery, 12558 Meridian Road, Elbert, CO 80106.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Latigo Trails Equestrian Center, 13710 Halleluiah Trail, Elbert, CO 80106.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colorado Springs Therapeutic Riding Center, 3254 Paseo Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. (www.cstrc.org)
