Rosaline Hazel Gutierres, (Fontes) age 90; passed away peacefully at her house Tuesday April 13, 2021, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She had 2 brothers and 2 sister who preceded her in death, and was the sixth of her 7 siblings and one step brother. Rosaline was born April 10, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii and her parents were, Joe and Mary Fontes. She was a resident in Honolulu, Hawaii where she lived most of her childhood life and moved away to the United States, living out the remainder of her life in Colorado Springs. She had a passion and love for her family, serving her God Jehovah, her love for Hawaiian music, and flowers. One of her favorite sayings she would always say to her friends was, “Standing Firm” along with always having a flower in her hair. She was a loving Mother and friend to many people who knew her and she will be greatly missed. She was proceeded in death by her Husband James D. Gutierres Sr., her son’s James Gutierres Jr., Derek Gutierres, Dana Gutierres. and other close family members.

She is survived by her son Harry Gutierres, and her sisters; Ollie Fontes, and Melva Fontes, and numerous nieces and nephews.. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Funeral services for Rosaline Gutierres will be held on zoom video conferencing on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM, Mountain Time.
