IN 1923

There should be a law in Colorado that women shall receive the same pay with men for the same work in state employment, Miss Ernestine Parsons told the Open Forum held at Skaggs business college yesterday. She also said the psychological effect of the laws discriminating against women are bad.

IN 1948

City Council on Thursday night back-pedaled away from thoughts of getting rid of Memorial hospital and the Beth-El School of Nursing so fast that the evening’s session in the City Hall was amazing. In fact, the jam-packed council auditorium got the impression before the meeting was over that no proposals or thoughts of closing the hospital or the school had ever entered council minds.
