From 40,000 to 50,000 Christmas trees, growing in Jarre canon near Sedalia, will be sold in Colorado Springs and Denver this year for 10 cents each, according to an announcement by Ress Philips, supervisor of the Peak National forest. Trees will be cut under supervision of a forest ranger. The trees are cut in such a way as to benefit the forest, the “stands” being thinned when the growth is too thick.
