Bear Creek by Candlelight — Bear Creek Nature Center’s annual holiday celebration featuring luminary-lit nature trails, live music, chili dinner from Texas Roadhouse, Santa Claus and festive crafts. Country Holiday Fair — Shop more than 50 local vendors and the kids can make crafts and get photos with Santa. Lots of Knots — In this threehour workshop, learn about knots and their practical usage. $8 per person or $7 per member and military. Painting in the Park: Valentine’s Edition — Learn watercolor painting basics, then make your own watercolor Valentine’s Day cards. Each person will receive a watercolor palette, brush set and cards with envelopes. Program geared toward adults. 1-3 p.m. $15 per person or $10 per member. FEB. 4

Winter Fun at Fox Run — Celebrate winter’s beauty. Roast hot dogs and marshmallows, with live music, wagon-drawn hayrides, storytelling, dog costume contest and parade with prizes for the winners, games and more. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. $5 per person includes food and all activities. Fishing 101 — Learn about freshwater fishing and how to get started in this seminar-styled program. Learn from local pros and special guest speakers.
