Why we need an age cap
We have presidents who are barely able to keep themselves up. There are laws that keep people who are ill from performing their presidential duties. However, those illnesses are not always apparent. Illnesses that affect the mind are usually seen in the elderly such as dementia or stroke. At first glance, mental illness is not seen but, can definitely affect a person’s ability to do certain things, such as run a country. This is why there should be a law imposed about having an age cap for the presidency.
A person who runs for president needs to be at least 35. Our president is 80 years old and our last president is 77 and was 74 when his term ended.
Both of these men should be retired because American citizens receive benefits at the age of 65.
Why are there men running the country when they should be retired by the recommendation of Medicare. There should be a law requiring an age cap for people to run for president.
If there are not proper people running the United States, there will not be a properly running country. This is why we should have an age cap from 35 to 65.
The reason is that 65 is the age benefits are given and the recommended age for retirement.
The government should follow the recommendations given, by them, and apply that to the people running for president.
