Aberg caps stellar start with win at Sea Island

The Gazette, Colorado Springs

St. Simons Island, Ga.: Ludvig Aberg capped off a six months he won’t forget. He won the RSM Classic with a 61-61 weekend for his first PGA Tour title. This follows a win on the European tour, and a winning debut in the Ryder Cup in Rome. Not bad for a 24-year-old Swede who was still finishing his final year at Texas Tech just six months ago. Aberg set the PGA Tour record for lowest weekend at 122. He also tied the PGA Tour’s record for 72-hole tournaments at 253. Mackenzie Hughes shot 60-63 on the weekend and still finished four shots behind.
