Five-star offensive lineman Seaton commits to CU
Player made the surprise pick on Fox Sports 1’s ‘Undisputed’

Help is on the way to Boulder.
Deion Sanders promised new offensive linemen and so far, he’s delivered.
Jordan Seaton, the top remaining uncommitted player in the 2024 class, announced his commitment to Colorado live on Fox Sports 1’s “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless, Michael Irvin and Keyshawn Johnson.
“Hey Prime, how you doing?” Seaton said with a white CU hat on after making the surprise pick.
The five-star offensive tackle from IMG Academy in Florida did not include the Buffaloes in his list of final six choices, but he was really playing a trick on everyone. He chose CU over Alabama, Florida, Maryland,
Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee.
Seaton is the
No. 30 overall player in the class of 2024 and the second-highest rated offensive lineman. He quickly becomes the Buffs’ third-highest rated high school recruit ever, according to 247sports’ composite ratings, just narrowly edging out CU’S top high school commit from last cycle, Cormani Mcclain.
This is also now the third year in a row coach Sanders has been able to get a late commitment from a top prospect, doing so last year with McClain and the year before with Travis Hunter’s stunning Signing Day flip to Jackson State.
“You gotta believe in Coach Prime,” Seaton said. “Having the opportunity to play with somebody who did it at the highest level — gold jacket level — many, very few can say they did that. I’ve got two Heisman candidates (in) Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. They’re amazing.
“If you claim you a dawg, why you not coming to Colorado?”
Seaton, who visited CU for the Oregon State game on Nov. 4, is now the third top 100 player in the Buffs’ 2024 class, which ranks 10th among the 16 teams that will be in the Big 12 next season. But that team ranking is due to the fact that CU only has 10 high school or junior college players committed right now. The average rating of the Buffs’ commits is the highest in the Big 12.
Only Texas Tech has a higher-rated recruit in the 2024 class among Big 12 programs.
The other two top 100 players currently committed to CU are athletes Kamron Mikell from Georgia and Aaron Butler from southern California. The Buffs also have another potential contributor on the offensive line in the class as Issiah Walker from Butler (Kan.)
Community College is the second-ranked Juco tackle.
Don’t expect that to be it on the offensive line front either, as the Buffs will likely be super aggressive in the transfer portal with several quality linemen available that have started games for Power 5 programs.
CU has at least three starters to replace on the offensive line as left tackle Gerad Christian-lichtenhan and center Van Wells entered the transfer portal earlier this week. Plus there’s one, potentially two, spots open at guard.
Coach Sanders’ rhetoric has suggested an overhaul was always coming this offseason as his son, Shedeur Sanders, was the most-sacked quarterback in the nation in 2023.
“That will never happen again,” Seaton said.
Buffaloes land Loadholt as offensive line coach
Seaton also now knows who his offensive line coach will be as reports have said former NFL tackle Phil Loadholt, who starred at Fountain-fort Carson High School in the Colorado Springs area before playing at Oklahoma and for the Minnesota Vikings, will be the Buffaloes’ offensive line coach.
Loadholt has spent the last two seasons as an analyst as his alma mater and has also spent time on staff at Ole
Miss and UCF.
The Honolulu, Hawaii native spent seven years in the pros after being drafted n the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft following an all-conference career for the Sooners. He replaces Bill O’boyle, who went with former CU offensive coordinator Sean Lewis to San Diego State, where Lewis is now the head coach.
