MINOR LEAGUE MINUTE

• Rockies’ No. 1 prospect Adael Amador wrapped up his third season since being signed by the organization in 2019, and his abilities shined at multiple levels.

He rose from the Arizona Complex League to Double-a Hartford in 2023 and hit over .300 at the first two levels before injuries cost him time with the Yard Goats. In 10 games, he hit just .143 with them, but was able to hit a pair of home runs.

Between the ACL and High-a Spokane, the switch-hitting infielder hit .308 with 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases. Mlb.com projects him to make the Rockies’ roster by 2025, but the jump could come sooner.

He figures to start the 2024 season at Double-a Hartford. Results there will direct how quickly he rises, but his presence alone would impact a Colorado lineup that is not projected to have a switch-hitter in 2024 and is short on middle infield talent outside of Ezequiel Tovar and Brendan Rodgers.
