Carson, however, gave a glimpse of what may await this team in the future as he gashed the Rebels up the middle for 104 yards on 16 carries while the team played without senior fullback Emmanuel Michel.

It was a career-best day in terms of carries and yards for Carson, who has carried 54 times for 347 yards this season, an average of 6.4 yards that would be a high for Air Force fullbacks with at least 50 carries since Brad Roberts in 2020.
