Air Force quarterback play

With Zac Larrier ruled out with an injury, Jensen Jones drew his first start. Jones ran for 88 yards on 19 carries with a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs. He completed 1-of-6 passes for 35 yards and was sacked once. As Air Force needed to pass on its final drive, the Falcons turned to sophomore John Busha, who completed 1-of-2 passes for 21 yards.

“We thought it was a must-throw situation there for a while, so we put the other guy in just from what we’ve seen in practice from a must-throw just in terms of having a good, strong arm and good accuracy,” coach Troy Calhoun said.
