Love Is Blind

Netflix ■ Season Premiere

The dating reality series is back for Season 5. The first four episodes drop today, with Episodes 5 through 7 available Sept. 29, Episodes 8 and 9 available Oct. 6 and the season finale available Oct. 13.

The Continental: From the World of John Wick

Peacock ■ New Series

This three-part event series set within the universe of the popular John Wick feature films led by Keanu Reeves (who does not appear here in any way, at least from what we know at this point) takes place in 1970s New York and serves as a prequel for the blockbuster franchise, exploring the origins of The Continental — the hotel for assassins that is a centerpiece for much of the action in John Wick. A focus of the series is Colin

Woodell as a young Winston Scott (played by Ian Mcshane in the films), who charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the place where he will eventually take his throne. Ayomide Adegun co-stars as a young Charon (Lance Reddick’s film character). After today’s episode, the next two installments drop Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.

Cassandro

Prime Video ■ Prime Video

Based on a true story, this biopic follows Saul Armendariz (Gael Garcia Bernal), a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso who rises to international stardom after he creates the character Cassandro, the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In the process, he upends not just the macho wrestling world but also his own life.

Deadlocked: How America Shaped the Supreme Court

Showtime, 9 p.m. ■ New Series

This four-part documentary series traces the modern history of the Supreme Court and examines the people, decisions and confirmation battles that have shaped the court into what it is today.

Fathom

MOVIES!, 9:40 p.m.

Raquel Welch plays the title role — Fathom Harvill, a skydiver turned secret agent — in this cult-classic 1967 British spy comedy that cashed in on a newly popular film genre ushered in by the James Bond movies of the era. Lorenzo Semple Jr., who wrote for the Batman TV show in the ’60s, brings similar camp to these proceedings. The film looks gorgeous, colorfully shot by acclaimed cinematographer Douglas Slocombe, although, if we’re being fair, Welch would look fantastic even if she were shot by a high school AV student using an old Betamax camera.

Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, 10 p.m. ■ Original Film

Former orchestra conductor Gethsemane Brown (Tamera Mowry-housley) has moved to the Irish countryside to teach music at St. Brendan’s boarding school. After deciphering a cryptic musical message, she meets renowned composer Eamon Mccarthy (Risteard Cooper), who is rumored to be behind the death of his longtime love. He also turns out to be a ghost. Eamon enlists Gethsemane’s help to find the person responsible for his partner’s death so that he can finally move on and reunite with her in the afterlife, but the search for the real killer might mean putting Gethsemane in real danger.
